Lintian ReportsBETA

file-name-ends-in-whitespace

This package installs a file or directory whose name ends in whitespace. This might be intentional but it's normally a mistake. If it is intentional, add a Lintian override.

One possible cause is using Debhelper 5.0.57 or earlier to install a doc-base file with a Document field that ends in whitespace.

The tag is present in Lintian version 2.114.163. That is the most recent version we know about.

We use semantic versions. The patch number is a commit step indicator relative to the 2.114.0 release tag in our Git repository.

You can find the detection logic for this version at commit ca97c3a. For merge requests, please use the latest version in the Lintian check files/names.
