appstream-metadata-legacy-format
The AppStream metadata contains the obsolete root node
<application>. It was used in a a legacy format.
The application metadata for your package should follow the new
format described on freedesktop.org.
You can validate draft formats with 'appstreamcli validate'.

That is the most recent version we know about.
We use semantic versions.
The patch number is a commit step indicator relative to the
2.114.0
release tag in our Git
repository.
