ancient-python-version-field
The control fields Python-Version
and
Python3-Version
show the Python versions your package
supports, but the Python version listed here predates the current
"oldstable" distribution. There is no need to list it.
Please drop or update the named version.
When removing a version, please check debian/rules
and
debian/tests/*
for any use of py3versions -r
.
Without a Python3-Version
field, that program falls back to
all supported versions, which may not be what you want.
For more information please consult:
- Python Interpreter (Section 3.4) in the Debian Python Policy 0.12.0.0 documentation
The tag is present in Lintian version 2.114.163
.
That is the most recent version we know about.
We use semantic versions.
The patch number is a commit step indicator relative to the
2.114.0
release tag in our Git
repository.
You can find the detection logic for this version at commit fac7222. For merge requests, please use the latest version in the Lintian check languages/python.
